BfireSafe @ School

The 'BFireSafe@School' project is an innovative strategic partnership school project funded by the Erasmus+ programme.

The objective of the project is to design, develop and deliver a sustainable fire safety education programme for post-primary schools in Europe, which will be available in the following languages: English, Irish, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Lithuanian and Spanish.

The objectives of the project are:
1) Increase fire safety knowledge, skills and competences for teachers and pupils in post-primary schools by sharing best practices and using innovative digital learning methods.
2) Improve the health and well-being of teachers and pupils in post-primary schools.
3) Using technology to implement and monitor new approaches to teacher training and pupil learning using peer networks.
4) Demonstrate how new digital tools can be effective in improving teachers' and pupils' motivation to learn fire safety.

The activities in each unit were developed at various learning levels, aimed at pupils of different ages and levels. The resources developed aim to explain fire safety to students in a concise, easy-to-follow and engaging format. They include a range of activities that encourage students to apply theory to real-world situations and understand the safety choices available to them.
