The Norwegian Fire Brigade's most important tool for meeting children in nursery and primary school
The Bjørnis project began as a local initiative of the Trøndelag County Fire Brigade, but today now works with children and their parents across Norway through initiatives in schools and tours across the country. Firefighters across the country use their mascot Bjørnis, the fire teddy bear, as a tool when encountering children in relation to fires and other incidents, such as domestic ones. Bjørnis is also a resource in the firefighting training of kindergartens and in the preventive work of the Fire Brigade.
On the website (in Norwegian) there is all the information about Bjørnis
