PROACTIVE Rieti field exercise

A field exercise related to a CBRN incident (incidents of this type involve the use of Chemical, Biological, Radiological or Nuclear weapons) was held in Rieti (RM) on November 16, 2022. The exercise was jointly organized by the European projects PROACTIVE and eNOTICE and hosted by the NBC Defense School, a partner of eNOTICE.

Thirty-seven civil society volunteers, which included people with obvious and non-evident vulnerabilities, took part in the initiative to test the emergency service and to understand the level of accuracy, precision and attention of law enforcement agencies in recognizing and understanding their needs in a high-risk situation. 

Thus, the primary objective of the exercise was to improve standard intervention procedures for the experts and professionals involved in order to improve communication with the civilian population and in particular the most vulnerable people.
