Stop Disasters!

"Stop Disasters!" simulates natural hazards and serves as an interactive educational tool for 9-16 year olds.

Stop Disasters! is a free online video game designed to teach children how to build safer villages and towns against the risk of natural disasters. Children can now learn how to respond to environmental disasters (fires, floods, tsunamis, hurricanes and earthquakes) and mitigate their impact through this video game. This is an excellent example of edutainment, aimed at disseminating preventive knowledge and conscious environmental and civil protection education through the medium of games.

THE PURPOSE OF THE GAME

The aim of the game is to design and build a safe environment for people in certain regions of the Earth threatened by environmental disasters. The player has a standard amount of money ($50,000) at his disposal, which he must carefully manage to build what is needed to prevent disasters in a given location.
