Hashtag Standars for Emergencies
A conscious use of hashtags can make the difference in emergencies by ensuring, for example, that rescuers can exploit the information collected in crowdsourcing for operational planning of the response. To facilitate the standardization of social media hashtags, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has drawn up the "Hashtag Standards for Emergencies", a document that adults can consult with younger people to learn how to use hashtag correctly and participate in the collection of information useful for emergency management.
