The impact of seismic events in Central Italy on the rights of children and adolescents

Authors

University Center for Human Rights at the University of Padua, on the initiative of Save the Children Italy

Date of publication

2017

Target

Adults
Children affected by so-called "natural disasters" may face various forms of sudden deprivation, which tend to put a strain on their resilience. These are just some of the issues addressed in the study "The impact of seismic events in central Italy on the rights of children and adolescents," conducted by Save the Children in collaboration with the University Center for Human Rights at the University of Padua, which paints a picture of the displacement experienced by children and adolescents following an earthquake. The aim of the survey is to shed light on these critical issues and, at the same time, to help provide some useful tools from which to start restoring these children to the normality to which they are entitled.
