Open Territories Toolkit
Toolkit Disaster Preparedness is a dynamic tool produced as part of the "Territori Aperti" (Open Territories) project, an initiative of the University of L'Aquila, CGIL, CISL, and UIL trade unions, and the Municipality of L'Aquila to create an interdisciplinary center for documentation, training, and research on aspects of natural disaster prevention and management and the reconstruction and development processes of affected areas.
Toolkit Disaster Preparedness, capitalizing on the experience already gained, aims to provide recommendations and procedures to organizations and institutions, but also to citizens, to improve disaster prevention, make post-disaster actions more effective and structured, improve disaster response, reduce critical issues in all phases, and, above all, avoid mistakes already made.
The idea for the Disaster Preparedness Toolkit arose from the need for a tool capable of mapping every critical aspect of disaster management, selecting a series of good and bad practices in order to better manage similar situations in the future
