Bjørnis, the Fire Department's teddy bear
The Norwegian Fire Department's most important tool for meeting children in kindergarten and elementary school
The Bjørnis project began as a local initiative by the Trøndelag County Fire Department, but now works with children and their parents throughout Norway through initiatives in schools and tours across the country. Fire departments across the country use the mascot Bjørnis, the firefighting teddy bear, as a tool when meeting children in relation to fires and other accidents, such as those in the home. Bjørnis is also a resource in fire safety training in kindergartens and in the fire department's preventive work
The website (in Norwegian) has all the information about Bjørnis
